I shared

I wondered if you ever truly cared

I silenced
the words  I need to say

I wondered
When you  would walk away

Like the day I was born
When I was a teen
When I became a young adult
Who disappointed you again

One more time
I cried
For the times
I've tried
For what was - back then
For what could have been
For the pain that remains
For the few remaining days

For what may never be
