The best thing is to join your local writers' group. Your peers will have lots of ideas on how to sell your book. However not many writers are also marketers. The starting point is to treat your book like a product and yourself as a business. Then ask: Who is the target market? By which I mean "Who wants and needs my product?" Then - "Where and how do my target customers buy similar items to what I sell?" Things get much easier once you answer these two questions. Good luck! Magda
Hi Deb, I have an article at my writers site about how to create a book marketing plan. Not sure if it's what you're looking for exactly, but it's a place to start. :)
If it's not, let me know please and I'll do my best to help you find something. You can find me there or on Twitter, @CuckleburrTimes.
